Kathy Phillips presents cheque to Mr Mark Powell, Headteacher.

This morning, the school was presented with a cheque from Kathy Phillips, who has been actively involved in fundraising with a team from the Co-operative Store, Hirwaun, to raise funds for defibrillators. She has already funded the purchase of a machine for Hirwaun School and has kindly donated the remaining balance to Aberdare Community School. The school has agreed to make up any shortfall and arrange to purchase an additional defibrillator. That will bring the total defibrillators at Aberdare Community School to three.
