VE Day Celebrations

As we approach the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, we feel that is extremely important that our learners not only commemorate this event but also learn about changes that the Second World War set in motion. Not only did it result in death of millions and widespread destruction but it also paved the way for the modern world that we know today.

With this in mind, departments have created challenges for learners to attempt over the coming weeks. These can be completed and uploaded to the ACS Moodle portal in the course entitled "VE Day Project". These range from poems of peace to creating your very own VE Day playlist. Further instructions can be found in each subject area in the "VE Day Project" section on ACS Moodle.

These activities are designed to not only engage our learners during these unique circumstances but to also encourage them to research and learn more about the Second World War.

Thank you for your support in this matter and please keep safe.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. N. Keeble

Leader of Learning for History
